Backyard BBQ Cookout

Starting in 2022 we began hosting a local BBQ event in Owasso. All sales from Plates of food goes to the charity of the year.

Charities to whom we have donated:

In 2022 it was the local VFW,

2023 it was the VFW Auxiliary.

2024 This year we are hosting Oklahoma Women Veterans Org-Tulsa Chapter.

CATEGORIES – Only the following categories and/or cuts of meats are allowed. CHICKEN, PORK RIBS, BOLOGNA & PORK BUTT

PEOPLE’S CHOICE PORK BUTT: Provided by Sponsor – available at Check-in, you will be required to sign for it.
CHICKEN: No Cornish Hen allowed
PORK RIBS: Ribs shall include the bone. Country style ribs are prohibited.
BOLOGNA: Bologna 6 full slices, recommended 1/4” - 3/8” thick, blocking ends is allowed. (Judged on taste and appearance only)
PORK BUTT: Must be either Boston Butt or Pork Shoulder

All cook teams will be provided with a People's Choice Pork Butt automatically

Anything BUTT Category

This year we are offering a new category of entry. The Anything BUTT. This is where we are opening up for people to make sides or desserts to be judged.

Entry fees to be announced for 2025

The item must be cooked on site at the event in either a Dutch oven or wood fire. Each contestant will provide their own method of cooking. The event Host will not provide these or charcoals.
